Mules N More Rescue & Rehab

Rescue the Mistreated • Save the Injured • Love the Abandoned

Our Mission

At Mules N More Rescue & Rehab, we believe in new beginnings and the healing power of rehabilitation. In a world that often throws things away too quickly, we choose commitment to the animals over convenience.

Sam and Danielle with Blossom at Mules N More Rescue

Mules N More Rescue and Rehab was founded by sisters Sam and Danielle in 2023. They opened the 501(c)3 nonprofit in Mount Juliet, TN after seeing how rapidly farmland is diminishing around Nashville. It became apparent that there were few resources for those needing to rehome farm animals, which leads to neglect in many cases. We aim to be a community resource to prevent neglect before it occurs—while rehabbing neglect that has already occurred.

Animals arrive from many places—owner surrenders, auctions, and more. Regardless of background, each receives individualized care to ensure a successful future. Every story reminds us that real worth isn’t found in material things, but in kindness, connection, and the chance to begin again.

What We Do

Step 1: Intake & Evaluation

Mule during intake evaluation

Each arrival gets a full intake. We assess immediate medical and behavioral needs to craft a personalized rehabilitation plan.

Step 2: Medical Care & Rehab

Animal receiving veterinary and farrier care

Our veterinarian and farrier evaluate each animal. We implement individualized rehab plans and adjust as needed.

Step 3: Recovery & Adoption

Happy adopters and animals at the farm

When ready, we carefully screen adopters for lifelong, loving homes. Sanctuary expansion is a future goal.

Urgent Fundraisers

🐷 Pig Chute Fundraiser

We’ve been offered a one-time deal on a custom pig chute from MKONO Farm—safer, lower-stress hoof/tusk trims and vet care, especially for seniors like Ernie.

🐴 Eye Removal Surgery

After months of trust-building with Blossom, we’re close to scheduling surgery to bring her long-term relief and comfort.
